Community Tea and Yoga Chat

Join is every fourth Friday for a cozy evening of tea and conversation about yogic philosophy and how it applies to our individual journeys.
This month's topic: Yajna (aka sacrifice)
BHAGAVAD GITA 3.9 "The world is bondage when actions are done just for your own sake. Therefore Arjuna, make every action a sacrifice, utterly free of personal attachment."
No knowledge of yoga history or philosophy necessary, this is a space to share authentically based on a central theme focused on spiritual wellness.

Confidence Building: Practice hands-on assists in real-time with constructive feedback to refine your touch and approach.

3rd Annual Costume and Clothing Swap
Bring your gently used clothing items, accessories, and costumes, and exchange them with fellow sustainable fashion enthusiasts.
All clothes leftover will be donated to St. Anthony’s free clothing program for the unhoused in San Francisco. If you have men's coats and new socks to donate, we will happy take them to St. Anthony's.

Arm Balancing with Sunset
Sunday October 19th, November 2nd, and November 9th 1-2:30pm
Build the confidence, Strength and concentration you need to safely land arm balancing poses. This 3 week series offers you a chance to experience arm balances in a safe, kind and guided environment. Each class can be taken independently, or the sessions will build on each other if you attend all three. To attend, you should have some experience practicing yoga & should feel comfortable in Chaturanga. During the second and third weeks, experience with Crow pose will be a helpful foundation. You don't have to be an expert, wobbles and wiggles welcome!
October 19: Crow, Side Crow, Eka Pada Koundinyasana I
November 2: Eka Pada I Review, Eka Pada Koundinyasana II, Flying Figure 4 November 9: Eight Angle Pose, Firefly, Headstand
Each session will begin with a warm up. You'll learn poses related to the week's featured arm balances. Then, we'll spend 10 minutes on each balance. During this time, you'll see the pose & learn entrances to it. You'll learn alignment details and tricks for the shape, and you'll have time to try to balance with plenty of time to rest between attempts & to ask questions. After the last arm balance, class will end with a cool down!$30 each class, or a 3 sessions for $70
